Terms and Conditions
This section sets out the Terms and Conditions by which The Dance Barn agrees to provide products and services. When you enrol, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with them before you enrol.
We reserve the right to modify, cancel or amend to these Terms and Conditions and upon doing so shall provide you with notification that there has been a change. The current Terms and Conditions always appear on our website. On purchase of any product or service, the most recent Terms and Conditions shall apply.
FREE TRIAL LESSONS
We offer one free trial per child in a class of their choosing, providing there is availability in the class.
Parents must provide us with contact, identification and health details as requested so that we can assume responsibility for their child during the lesson.
If a child refuses to take part in the lesson, one further free trial lesson may be arranged at our discretion.
FEES AND PAYMENT
Invoices for classes are sent at the beginning of each term to the email address provided upon enrolment and are payable within 14 days.
Payments can be made by Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash.
Any cheques returned unpaid will incur a handling charge.
If a pupil enrols after the start of a term a pro-rata charge will apply for the remaining classes of that term.
We reserve the right to suspend participation in lessons and withhold examination and festival entries and results until any overdue payments have been received.
Credit notes are issued to cover circumstances such as cancelled classes or long term absence through injury or illness.
All credit notes are deducted from the following term’s fees.
Fees are not waived in respect of family holidays, school trips, school exams or short term sickness or injury.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
Occasionally it is necessary to cancel, change the venue of a class, or postpone it to a later date. Where this occurs The Dance Barn will try to notify parents by email, text, phone, website and social media.
We reserve the right to cancel any classes anytime up to and including the date the class starts. Should this occur we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and a credit note will be issued.
HEALTH AND INJURY
Pupils participate in lessons at their own risk and parents are obliged to inform The Dance Barn of any existing injuries or medical conditions via the enrolment form. The Dance Barn must be notified immediately of any changes in writing.
Pupils must wear suitable footwear and clothing at all times, including The Dance Barn uniform.
If a pupil is unwell or has an accident requiring emergency treatment, first aid treatment will be administered by the nominated first aider at The Dance Barn. The parent or guardian will be contacted via the emergency contact details provided on the enrolment form. Contact numbers must always be contactable whilst the pupil is attending The Dance Barn activity.
The administering of any medication must be discussed between parents/guardians and the Principal. All agreements will be recorded in writing and signed by both parties.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact details on The Dance Barn records are up to date at all times.
The Dance Barn rules are available on our website.
Failure to observe these rules may result in pupils being asked to withdraw from lessons at The Dance Barn.
No refund will be given if the school rules have been broken.
Pupils are obliged to take care of their own belongings. The Dance Barn cannot accept liability for lost or damaged belongings.
PERMISSIONS (PHYSICAL CONTACT AND PHOTOGRAPHY)
